I just lately purchased a used Japanese branded pickup truck for my cross-country driving. I love to go out hiking and spending my long weekends in the outdoors. This is actually why I acquired a pickup in the first place. Power as well as space for storage are the major key points which I need in a car. Being an older model, it didn’t have a built in GPS system. So I had to get myself a portable car GPS navigation system. So I bought a handheld GPS unit since my city vehicle is different from my weekend adventure pickup truck.
With the many trips outdoors and lots of off-road travelling, I required a powerful GPS navigation system. I need a dynamic GPS unit which runs on more advanced operating systems. I needed correct instructions.
Because of the nature of my need, then the next feature I looked for was built-in-maps. I made sure that the device is also equipped with an auto update feature. And I needed a device that can tell me where I am accurately. I needed my portable auto GPS to have built-in-maps because I am doing a lot of driving to places I have never been to and I have to go camping outdoors. I had to bring the navigator with me even when I was outdoors.
I needed accurate pinpointing and built-in-maps in order to find the best route for my destination. With built-in-maps, I was also ensured that I was safe from getting lost in the wild. Contour maps also help me a lot when hiking and camping out. I want my device to look good because it doesn’t remain static in my car. In regard to the graphics user interface, I had to make sure the device is user friendly. Another thing that I wanted was multimedia capability and an operating system that was compatible to most apps.
I also want function so I need above standard processing power. I also wanted a durable device and some shock proof features. I needed a device that is both great for outdoor use as well as cruising in the city. For me, the best auto GPS is flexible and easy to use as well.
